Annotation of nagios/check_bioctl/README, Revision 1.7

1.1 andrew 1: check_bioctl - checks status of a RAID array using bioctl
                      2:
1.5 andrew 3: This check is for OpenBSD machines with bioctl(8) supported RAID cards.
1.2 andrew 4:
1.1 andrew 5: The only real caveat with it is that bioctl needs rw permission to
6: /dev/bio. One way to allow for that is by adding an entry to
1.7 ! andrew 7: /etc/doas.conf.
1.1 andrew 8:
1.2 andrew 9: This is an example of a setup for NRPE. For checks on the machine running
1.7 ! andrew 10: Nagios, use the _nagios user in /etc/doas.conf instead of _nrpe, and of course,
! 11: no ${SYSCONFDIR}/nrpe.cfg. check_bioctl runs bioctl once for each device, so
! 12: you will need a doas.conf entry that matches each device you wish to check. If
! 13: you have multiple RAID volumes, you'll need one permit rules per volume.
        ! 14:
        ! 15: /etc/doas.conf:
! 16: permit nopass _nrpe as root cmd /sbin/bioctl args ami0
! 17: permit nopass _nrpe as root cmd /sbin/bioctl args ami1
1.1 andrew 18:
1.4 andrew 19: ${SYSCONFDIR}/nrpe.cfg:
1.6 andrew 20: command[check_bioctl]=${PREFIX}/libexec/nagios/check_bioctl -d ami0 -d ami1
1.1 andrew 21:
1.2 andrew 22: For more information on bioctl(8) see the OpenBSD man page.
